11 Transition
The 11 Transition Course is a one term course and provides students with a career exploration exercise and their implications in a very practical unit standard based course. Students will develop their curriculum vitae skills as well as interact with the NZ Careers and MBIE Occupation Outlook interactive learning website. Students will also undertake interviewing skills similar to that of a speed dating exercise and develop their interpersonal communication skills. A basic delve into the rights and responsibilities of the employee and the employer is provided as the students commence to apply for their first holiday jobs. The Course provides 10 unit standards. Advanced students are selected to participate in the Level 1 Business Studies Market Start Up Achievement Standards for an insight into the Young Enterprise Scheme and may achieve up to 6 Achievement Level 1 standards.
