Course Description

1) Digital Media - a project incorporating the development of one of the following. Qwb Sites, Digital Presentations or Digital Publications.

2) Digital Information Systems - Exploring the architecture of present popular information systems in use; Local and Wide Area Networks (LANs, WANs); Internet protocols;
Modular systems for Encryption, Privacy vs information sharing, The Database (Level 2 - Flat Level 3 - Relational) and the Spreadsheet. A small introduction to SQL

3) Computer Science - Low level & High Level Languages, Compilers and Interpreters, Machine and OP coding with some browser Java-scripting. Issues of complexity,
intelligent systems and visual computing will be briefly mentioned.
